As a U.S. Cultural Ambassador, Step Afrika! brings professional dance performances to theaters and festivals around the world. The Company’s international performances promote tolerance, self-expression and cross-cultural understanding in some of the world’s most divided areas. Over the past three decades, the Company’s artists have visited over 60 countries, taking the stage in Samoa, Croatia, Luxembourg, Egypt and many more.
In partnership with the U.S. Embassy, Step Afrika! will bring the African American tradition of stepping to Senegal through dynamic workshops, a collaborative performance at Théâtre National Daniel Sorano, and cultural exchanges with local students and artists.
